Born and raised in the coastal town of Carlsbad, California, Matt has always maintained a healthy thirst for adventure — be it outdoors at the beach, the local trails, or inside delving into the pages of a great novel (or comic book).

This passion for living and telling great stories eventually prompted Matt to pursue and attain a BA in Literature at Point Loma Nazarene University. While at university, Matt served as a Worship Arts and Spiritual Development Intern where his passions for creative expression, particularly through music, and spiritual development deepened.

Today, Matt serves as Worship Director at Grace and Peace Church in Oceanside, California. He also works full-time as a freelance writer, content creator, and musician. Outside of work and other creative projects, Matt loves coffee, cooking, concerts, and going to the dog beach with his wife Alexandra and their pup, Logan. Matt’s main drivers are an insatiable curiosity, a passion for creative expression, and a genuine desire to see both individuals and communities thrive.
